President Tinubu has approved the completion of the dualization of the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, Monday 3rd March 2025. The approval was revealed by the Special Adviser to President (Media and Public Communications), Chief Sunday Dare CON FNIS, in a release he made available on his X account, after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday afternoon. The newly approved road completion project, which will now be handled by Mssrs JRB Construction Co. Ltd, has a total cost of N147, 887,810,833,.87.   Recall that some weeks ago, the contract of the road project was terminated, as a result of abandonment and long term lagging; to which the President promised to re-award soon, this has now been fulfilled. NATIONAL SPORTS COMMISSION  PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS UNIT  PRESS RELEASE  As the date for the kick-off of the 22nd National Sports Festival tagged Gateway Games Ogun 2025 draws near, the National Sports Commission (NSC) inaugurated 19 sub-committees to ensure the successful hosting of the event scheduled to hold from May 16 to 30, 2025. Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held today at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, the Director General of the NSC, Honourable Bukola Olopade, described the National Sports Festival as Nigeria’s version of the Olympics and a platform through which the nation identifies, nurtures, and develops its best athletes to represent the country at international competitions.
