Biography of Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, Esq:

Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, Esq was born on April 16, 1963, in Otu, Oyo State, Nigeria, to the family of Late Pa Emmanuel Oyetunji and Mama Sarah Farike Omodewu. A man of humility and dedication, Ajiboye's life was marked by excellence in education, public service, and leadership.


Early Life and Education

Ajiboye began his education at Baptist Primary School in Otu and continued through Baptist Modern School and Community Grammar School in Otu, Oyo State. His pursuit of higher education saw him earn a National Diploma in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology and a B.Sc. in Accounting from the City University of New York, USA. He later obtained an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Driven by his father's phrase "According to the law," Ajiboye pursued a law degree at Lead City University, culminating in his call to the Nigerian Bar in 2023. He was actively pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) at the time of his passing.


Professional and Political Career

Ajiboye's professional journey began with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and led him to prominent roles in the USA, including as CFO at Abisco Tyre and Auto Inc. Upon returning to Nigeria, he served as Honourable Commissioner in various ministries within the Oyo State Government under the administration of Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi notably revolutionizing land administration with innovations like the Electronic Certificate of Occupancy. His political career saw him serve as the Oyo State APC Party Chairman, where his leadership was marked by unity and consensus-building.


Awards and Recognitions

Hon. Omodewu's contributions to public service earned him numerous awards, including the Award of Excellence from the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and the Strategic Leadership Award from the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria.


Personal Life and Legacy

A dedicated family man, Hon. Omodewu was married to Janet Ayanyemisi (née Ayankunle) and Omotayo Esther (née Babalola), with whom he was blessed with children and grandchildren. His deep faith in Christ guided his life, and he passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, in New York, USA, surrounded by family.

Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu's life was a testament to service, dedication, and leadership, leaving an enduring legacy in Oyo State and beyond. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
