WELCOME TO THE PROGRESSIVE FOLD, YOUR EXCELLENCY

We the youths of the All Progressives Congress are elated by the decision of His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr Rauf Olaniyan to join the progressive fold. 

This move is long overdue as a gentleman of his impeccable character deserves better than the tyrannic treatment being melted on him by Governor Seyi Makinde. 

It is public knowledge that the Governor has been subjecting the gentleman Deputy Governor to unspeakable ridicule and stripped his office of any form of dignity.

We urge His Excellency to accept our apologies on behalf of the good people of Oyo State for the inhumane treatment by the People's Democratic Party and its leader, Seyi Makinde.

Here in the APC,  his personality, values, and ideas will be respected. 

We also welcome the thousands of youths who are joining our great party alongside the Deputy Governor;  we promise them total and accomdative inclusiveness with open hands, as we join hands to reclaim Oyo State come 2023. 

It is an open secret that the majority of PDP chieftains and members are also aggrieved as they are not exempted from the tyranny of Seyi Makinde. 

Our prayer for them is that they will find the light before it is too late and join APC - a party that values it all and sundry.

LG Autonomy: Makinde Devices Another Means to Swindle LG Funds:

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control. To further sabotage the process of transferring allocations directly to the LG accounts, Governor Makinde has directed all LG Chairmen in Oyo State, to open accounts with First Bank. The directives were given to ensure persistent manipulation of LG funds, which has been the order of the day for so long a time, as the Oyo State Governor asked the Chairmen to submit the newly opened First Bank accounts for payment of allocation, even as previous LG accounts with First Bank remains active.
