The Federal Government of Nigeria has, on the 29th day of July 2022, started the  distribution of Free Food Relief to the people of Oyo State. Distribution of the food relief was part of the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari, through the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare, to cushion the effects of food scarcity and hike in the prices of commodities. The Food Relief, which was brought to Oyo State, through Chief Sunday Dare, had the pilot stage kicked off in Ogbomoso zone, while other zones (Ibarapa, Oyo, Ibadan Less City, Ibadan City, Oke-Ogun I, Oke-Ogun II) of Oyo State are to receive in coming days. The Oyo State APC Reconciliation Committee, when constituted, was greeted with suspicion, doubts and insincerity of purpose by many concerned and aggrieved members of the party across the state. Some referred to the Oyo State APC Reconciliation Committee as 'ill conceived, dead on arrival'. Just so, the Oyo State APC Reconciliation Committee has proven to lack focus, entertaining disunity and fuelling discord, even on the altar of reconciliation. The committee has been so factional, and refused to carry along all members and stakeholders, lacking a wholistic approach to conflict resolution and problem solving. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare has revealed that he is not against Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick third term agenda if there is any but he believes the congress decision is supreme. The Minister stated this in an interactive session with journalists in Abuja where he said the congress of NFF will determine whether Pinnick will get a third term or not .
