Yoruba Oke OYA Fun Asiwaju ati Shettima (YOOFAS) Confers Sole Grand Patron on Chief Samson Adegoke Maigida:


The Yoruba Oke OYA Fun Asiwaju ati Shettima (YOOFAS) has conferred the Sole Grand Patron of the Group on Chief Samson Adegoke Maigida, 22nd October 2022.

Chief Maigida, in his acceptance speech, was very happy to be considered for such honour, as the Sole Grand Patron of the Support Group, and assured the group of his support.

Present at the occasion were the National Working Committee of YOOFAS led by the DG, Hon. SHITTU Olaitan, the National Secretary Barrister Abubakar Muhammad, the National Coordinator Mr. John Sunday, the Women leader North Central Mrs Agboola Ruth,  National Women Leader, ALHAJA Toyibat Ayodele, Barrister Dawud Suleiman the national Legal Adviser, and other National Working Committee Officers; also, the Member House of Representatives, representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Chief Olusegun Odebunmi (Hon. BUNVIC).

YOOFAS, one of the leading Support Group in the Northern part of Nigeria, is working for the actualisation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Presidential candidacy, by 2023.

With coverage across the 19 states of the Northern part of Nigeria, YOOFAS is canvassing, mobilising and sensitising the electorates to vote massively and victoriously for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Ticket of Tinubu/Shettima, in the 2023 general elections.

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control. To further sabotage the process of transferring allocations directly to the LG accounts, Governor Makinde has directed all LG Chairmen in Oyo State, to open accounts with First Bank.
