Ogbomoso Progressives Forum (OPF) Congratulates Sunday Dare on His New Title, Sarkin Wasanni:

The Ogbomoso Progressive Forum (OPF) has congratulated Chief Sunday Dare, on his new Chieftaincy title 'Sarkin Wasanni' conferred on him by the Emir of Daura, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Umar Farouk Umar CON.

This was made available in a Goodwill Message signed by the Coordinator of OPF, Hon. D. A. Suleyman Esq., dated 21/12/2022.

The message reads:

"On behalf of the members of Ogbomoso Progressives Forum (OPF) and the entire Ogbomoso indigenes home and abroad, I heartily congratulate you, the Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland on the conferment of the title of SARKI WASANNI conferred on you by the Emir of Daura, HRH, Alh. (Dr) Umar Farouk Umar, CON.

This is a well-deserved honor and recognition of your detribalizing altruistic Nigerian.

The nation has seen in you, the missing treasure worthy of emulation by the old and the young and no wonder, you are being conferred with this prestigious title of SARKI WASANNI.

You are pride of the Nation and we are proud of you as a true Ambassador of the town of Valiant, Ogbomoso Ajilete.

We therefore congratulate you on the new feather added to your numerous achievements and accomplishments. 

The sky is your springboard as you continue to soar like an Eagle bird."

The turbaning ceremony of the Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, as the Sarkin Wasanni will come up at the Emir's Palace Daura Katsina State, Thursday 22nd December 2022.

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control.
