CROSS RIVER STATE: SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT IS A VICTORY FOR DEMOCRACY:

 PRESS RELEASE 

Your Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State,I  am indeed elated to learn about the revalidation of your decisive victory during the March 25, 2023 Governorship election in Cross River State. 

This landmark judgement is a victory for the good people of Cross River State and democratic consolidation. Significantly, it has finally laid to rest, litigations that trailed your election and cast a pall in the governance of our state.

It is therefore with satisfaction that I join millions of our people and friends of the state to felicitate with you for this emphatic and decisive victory.

My sincere hope is that the end of all litigation will  pave the way for the unencumbered governance of the state and strengthen your hand to deliver democratic dividends to our people.

Be rest assured your Excellency of my continued unflinching support for your government now and in the years ahead.

LG Autonomy: Makinde Devices Another Means to Swindle LG Funds:

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control. To further sabotage the process of transferring allocations directly to the LG accounts, Governor Makinde has directed all LG Chairmen in Oyo State, to open accounts with First Bank.
