With this achievement, Team Nigeria is placed 4th position as far as African Teams are concerned, with Tunisia 1st, Algeria 2nd, Morocco 3rd and Nigeria 4th.
With this performance, it is quite worthy of note for Team Nigeria, knowing fully well that only 22 Athletes represented Nigeria in the just concluded Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
According to the Chef de Mission, Mr. Peter Nelson, the Director of Planning, Monitoring and Information of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development said "the Athletes have really done Nigeria proud, considering the number of Athletes we brought to the Paralympic Games, It is quite awesome!
I want to use this medium to appreciate the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare, for his enormous support, in making sure that Team Nigeria records success, which came to reality. Also, i want to thank the Permanent Secretary, Mr Nebolisa Anako, for his giant strides too, in making sure that everything went successfully.
In all, I give glory to God and appreciate especially the Athletes, who are the gladiators, coaches, and the backroom staff. they all made it possible for Nigeria anthem to be sang ten good times at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the Chef de Mission concluded."
