FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC AYEDE, BOARD CHAIR, MEMBERS, RECTOR, PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO CHIEF SUNDAY DARE:

_RECEIVES ASSURANCE OF MORE SUPPORT_

Ogbomoso, August 12, 2024 - The newly constituted leadership team of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, led by the Board Chairman, Barrister Mrs. Ademubowale Adelabu, and the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Abdulhameed, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Sunday Dare, FNIS, CON, at his Ogbomoso home.

The visit, which took place on August 12, 2024, was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the institution, stakeholders and its host community, as well as seeking the support of Chief Sunday Dare, who has been a stalwart supporter of the polytechnic from his birth.

Present at the meeting were members of the board, including Alhaji Aminu Sokoto, Mrs. Monisola Tegbe, Alhaji Modu Minter, and Chief Matthew Adesanya.

In his remarks, Chief Sunday Dare, who is also the Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, assured the Federal Polytechnic Ayede new board and management team of his total support towards achieving their goals and the progress mandate as contained in the President Bola Tinubu administration and in the Ogbomosoland 25-year development plans, he emphasized the relationship he had with the last institution board.

Rector Engr. Dr. Taofeek Abdulhameed, in his speech, emphasized the significant role played by Chief Sunday Dare in the establishment of the institution. He highlighted how Chief Dare had facilitated the lease of the current temporary site of the institution owned by the Federal Youth Ministry, and had facilitated the release of N100 million to support the institution's takeoff. He also mentioned that the first bus owned by the institution was donated by Chief Sunday Dare, among other tremendous supports.

Board Chairman, Barrister Mrs. Ademubowale Adelabu expressed her gratitude to Mr President for approving  her appointment as the board chairman, she assured the institution would continue to make progress under the new board leadership.

Others present at the courtesy visit included Dr. Samson Adegoke Maigida, Mr. Alao-Akala Oloriebi, Barrister Daud Suleiman, former Chairman of Ogbomoso North LG, Hon. Adewale Ademola, former Vice-Chairman of Ogbomoso North, Hon. Joel, and Prince Abass Baiyewuwon.
