Prominent Northern Singer Rarara's Interview with DLC News: Discussing Support for President Tinubu, Northern Nigeria's Situation, Protests, and His Facebook Account Blockage

Interviewer: You have a significant presence on Facebook. Can you explain the recent blockage of your account?

Rarara: My content is everywhere on Facebook; you can't spend 30 seconds without seeing it. They blocked my account not just because I praised Mr. President in my song, as this isn’t the first time I’ve done so. They did it for their own interests. Blocking my account won't change my stance or my support for the government. I sing for Mr. President, and I will continue to do that.

Interviewer:  You've faced criticism for supporting President Tinubu despite the current hardships. How do you respond to that?

Rarara: I can’t turn my back on Mr. President because of criticism. The person saying that I don't sympathize with the masses during these hard times is likely a PDP member or from the opposition. I'm not denying the presence of insecurity; I believe that once hunger is eliminated, security will naturally follow in the country.

Interviewer: What is your perspective on the current protests happening in Nigeria?

Rarara: I won't discuss the protests because I don't see a valid reason for them at this time. If the government permits someone to protest, it's deliberate, not because they can't handle it. Most of the protesters are thieves looking to loot people's property. If protesters have genuine intentions, they should submit their details to the police, as we did during the solidarity march for Mr. President.

Interviewer:  Can you elaborate on some of President Tinubu's achievements that you support?

Rarara: Tinubu is the reason why Facebook will start paying people in Nigeria; it was Mr. President who initiated this. No president has ever established a ministry specifically for the North, but President Tinubu did. He created the Livestock Ministry, yet no one applauded him. The Northwest Development Commission aims to eradicate hunger, poverty, and maintain security in the region. The local government autonomy he granted will eliminate 85% of poverty, hunger, and insecurity. Once the funds start reaching the LGAs' accounts, everything will change.

Interviewer: Some people say you don't sympathize with the masses. How do you respond?

Rarara:  I'm not doing this because I lack sympathy; I want people to know what the government is doing for them. Northerners should be grateful for all that Mr. President has done for them. I didn't do this to provoke people; I did it to draw attention to the president's efforts. Most of these social media influencers are under 30 or 20 years old. One day, they will recognize his achievements.

Interviewer: How do you compare the criticisms against President Tinubu to those against former President Buhari?

Rarara: I criticized Buhari for his shortcomings, but I will never criticize Tinubu because he has accomplished what no president before him has. Tinubu opened the northern borders, which Buhari, a Northerner, could not. The Abuja-Kaduna road was closed for three and a half years during Buhari's tenure, but Tinubu opened it. Buhari removed the subsidy, not Tinubu, yet people are criticizing him, even prominent figures who know the truth. People gave Buhari eight years but haven’t given Tinubu even one year.

Interviewer: There were reports about Atiku Abubakar's involvement in your mother's release. Can you clarify?

Rarara: Atiku Abubakar's call to release my mother led the kidnappers to double the ransom. Since my mother was released, more than 800 people have been freed.

Interviewer: What message do you have for the people regarding President Tinubu's efforts?

Rarara: Every Nigerian, especially Northerners, must participate in solidarity marches to appreciate what President Tinubu is doing for them. We did this in some states and will continue. I advise local government chairmen to use the funds they receive from the federal government responsibly. I promise that in the next three months, you will appreciate the president's efforts.

Interviewer: If people are still unhappy with your support for the president, what would you say to them?

Rarara: If you want me to apologize for what I did, deny President Tinubu's achievements: the Northwest Development Commission, the Ministry of Livestock, the border opening, and local government autonomy. They reported my account because they are unhappy with my progress, but they cannot stop my success. If they block one account, I have over 100 accounts on Facebook; they can't block them all. I hope my account will be restored soon.
