Governor Makinde Approves the Appointment of Abiola Akande, as Supervisory Councilor for Ogo-Oluwa LG:

_As Ogo-Oluwa Chair Appoints Abiola Akande as Supervisory Councilor for Budget and Finance_

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Honourable Samuel Abiola Akande, as Supervisory Councilor for Ogo-Oluwa Local Government.

The approval was conveyed by the Ministry of Local Governments and Chieftaincy Matters, to the Executive Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, in a letter dated 17th July 2024, signed by the Director of Local Governments, for the Honorable Commissioner;

"I have the directive to refer... and inform you that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, has graciously approved the appointment of the underlisted Supervisors... for your Local Government Council to take immediate effect:..", the letter reads in part.

Sequel to this development, the Executive Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, Hon. Ojo Oluwaseun Adesoye has sworn in Hon. Abiola Akande as the Supervisory for Budget and Finance in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government;

"I am delighted to inform you of your appointment as Supervisor for Budget and Finance to the Executive Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Ajaawa...", the letter, which was duly signed by the Chairman, dated 19th July 2024, reads in part.

Honourable Akande Abiola Samuel, a grassroot politician and mobiliser, Hails from Ladanu Ward 2 of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State.

LG Autonomy: Makinde Devices Another Means to Swindle LG Funds:

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control.
