Kadiri Ikhana Draws Support for Coach Amuneke to Land Super Eagles’ Job

Former coach of Enyimba Football Club Aba, who won the CAF Champions League in 2003 with the People's Elephant and became Coach of the Year in Africa, has drawn support for coach Emmanuel Amuneke to be the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.  According to coach Kadiri Ikhana who spoke on a platform, He said:  "For now, Amuneke stands the best suitable coach for our team, that is just my submission. He can do the job. Let us rally round him, support him, give him the necessary tools he needs to succeed. He will definitely triumph in the job. He has done it before, it's not going to be a new challenge for him. He has coached in the Super Eagles, he has coached at the youth level. Ibrahim Sunusi Wins First Trophy in the MLS:

The former Nassarawa United and joint top highest goal scorer of the NPFL has won his first major trophy in Major League Soccer (MLS) with CF Montreal.  His side defeated Toronto by a lone goal in the Canadian Championship Finals.  “I thank God, finally i can smile because it took a lot of hard work to have gotten to this level, more importantly it is the winning that matters, he concluded”. When asked by www.ckdmedia.ng, who is he dedicating the trophy to and when will he be getting married, He replied "I'm so much happy winning trophy in my first year in MLS and I am dedicating the trophy to my mum, and I will be getting married 16th December, as i will be coming back next month", Sunusi concluded.  Ibrahim Sunusi is in his first season for the MLS based side, having joined CF Montreal from Lagos based football academy 36 Lion.  He was in action for the Super Eagles of Nigeria during the international friendly match against Mexico.

NIS DG Died in January 2021. Minister Did not Remove Him

 Get the facts ! * It is not true that the Minister removed the former DG of NIS. The former DG died on the job in January 2021 facts have revealed. And CKD can confirm.   Dr. John Dadi-Mamud, Director-General, National Institute for Sports (NIS) died in January after a brief illness.  Dadi-Mamud, who hails from Kogi State, was confirmed dead on Sunday, Jan 24, 2021, in Lagos.He was not removed rather a replacement had to be done. The Ministry did the needful.  The Minister followed laid down procedures, reviewed potential candidates and made his recommendation to Mr. President for approval. In September the new DG Professor Morounkola formerly of the University of Ibadan assumed duties as the new DG.  Recall that a a senate budget presentation the chairman accused the Minister of removing the NIS DG. Now we know it is not true.  For any one to claim the Minister removed the former DG is simply a lie aimed at painting the Minister as an ethnic jingoist...

Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Abuja Following the expiration of the acting Tenure of Oluremi-Shola Phillips on Wednesday November 3rd, 2021, a new Director General(DG) has been appointed for the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre(CLTC). The new DG who received his appointment letter last week after Mr. President officially appointed him in June 25th 2021 is now Mr. Adesoji Eniade.  Mr. Eniade officially assumed duty on Monday November 1st and will henceforth run the affairs of the agency. National Youth Games: Kwara, Osun battle for men football gold as FCT move up on medals table

Hosts Kwara will battle Osun State in the final of the men's football event of the National Youth Games in Ilorin. Kwara had earlier won gold in rugby and table tennis and will be seeking to add the men football gold to their collections.
