Oyo State APC Youths Hold Maiden Meeting


The Youth Wing of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State held their maiden meeting today 6th April, 2022. Youth Leaders across Oyo state held this unusual meeting at the permanent secretariat of the party in oke ado, ibadan.

At the meeting the State Youth Leader unveiled 'Kunle Adesiyan of Oyo East LG as State Youth Secretary of the party and Comr. Abiola Samuel Akande of Ogbomoso South as his Chief of Staff.

The State Youth Leader asked the Local Government Youth Leaders to unite and work out an approach to enhance unity within the party.

The Youth Leaders brainstormed and proffered possible solutions that could address the series of problems facing the party and draw out workable plan to wrestle power from the PDP led government.

The one-day meeting, which started in the morning, dragged into the afternoon after which the party chairman joined the meeting.

Vote of confidence was passed on the Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu state led executives by the youth wing of the party.

LG Autonomy: Makinde Devices Another Means to Swindle LG Funds:

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control. To further sabotage the process of transferring allocations directly to the LG accounts, Governor Makinde has directed all LG Chairmen in Oyo State, to open accounts with First Bank.
