How Team Nigeria is Fairing at the moment in Kenya


Team Nigeria is doing exploits in the ongoing world youth championships with first gold medal already won by the team Nigeria's quartet of Chidera Johnson Nnamani, Deborah Oke, Imaobong Nse-Uko, Bamdiele Ajayi  in the Mixed 4x400m relay with a time of 3:19.70 which is a World Championships Record. 


The Team ran with all their mights especially Ajayi who was the anchor leg. They didn't just set an African record but a Championship record and it is the first Relay medal Nigeria has won in theWorld Championship.

Johnson Nnamani ran 47.5 seconds, while Nse ran 31.60 second, of course when they ran this, the other race was easy for the other athletes.


Godson Brume advances to men's 100m finals clocking 10.22 seconds in his Semis, Praise Ofuku held her nerve to scale through her heats and semis in the women's semis qualifying for the final in 11.57 seconds.


Also in the women 400m heats, Nse-Uko lived up to her favourite billing as he broke no sweat to win heat 3 of her race 52.33 seconds, a time that was the fastest among the three  heats.


Chinecherem Nnamdi qualified as the best athlete for the men's javelin after her threw a mark of 78.02, a new National U20 record.
