Kola Daniel Live on AIT Sports File

The Media Aide to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Kola Daniel was the guest today, on the African Independent Television (AIT) Live Sports File today. He joined the presented to discuss sports at various levels as such: 

The upcoming Nations Cup, where Nigeria has been drawn in a group alongside The Pharaohs of Egypt. He was very optimistic that the Super Eagles will surely sail through to the next round of the tournament.

World Athletics Championship, he expressed his satisfaction that the Team Nigeria is performing well at the moment; in his words: "I am not surprised that the medals keep rolling in, if the medals are not rolling in, then I should be surprised". He also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the AFN leadership's for adequately preparing the Team Nigeria for such outing.

He also took a slide into the English Premier League 2021/2022 Day 2 matches for this weekend.

As a member of the LOC of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament, he lauded the forthcoming event, scheduled to hold from 13th to 22nd September 2021 in Lagos State Nigeria.

Also, he spoke about the Tokyo Paralympics to commence on Tuesday, 26th August 2021.

LG Autonomy: Makinde Devices Another Means to Swindle LG Funds:

_Directs LG Chairs to Open another Account to receive Funds_ In another turn of events, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has deviced another way to swindle Local Government funds. Governor Makinde, yet to come to terms, on the Supreme Court ruling over LG Autonomy, has been trying all possible means to ensure that, the funds accruing to the local governments in Oyo State remains under his control. To further sabotage the process of transferring allocations directly to the LG accounts, Governor Makinde has directed all LG Chairmen in Oyo State, to open accounts with First Bank.
